The 2007 Monster World Series™ Sweepstakes
OFFICIAL RULES
NO PURCHASE NECESSARY


  1. ELIGIBILITY: Open to legal residents of the 50 United States and the District of Columbia and Canada (excluding the province of Quebec), who are eighteen (18) years of age or older or the age of majority in your jurisdiction, whichever is older. Void in Quebec and where prohibited by law, rule or regulation. This promotion is governed by US and Canada (excluding the province of Quebec) law and is subject to all applicable federal, state, provincial and local laws, rules and regulations. Employees of Monster ("Sponsor"), COHEN_FRIEDBERG ASSOCIATES, LLC (the “Judges”), the MLB Entities and each of their respective parents, affiliates, subsidiaries, advertising, promotion and fulfillment agencies and members of the immediate family or household of each are not eligible to participate. The "MLB Entities" shall mean the Office of the Commissioner of Baseball, its Bureaus, Committees, Subcommittees and Councils, MLB Advanced Media, L.P. ("MLBAM” or “MLB.com"), SportsOnEarth, LLC, Tickets.com, Inc., Major League Baseball Enterprises, Inc., Major League Baseball Properties, Inc. (doing business in its own name and as Major League Baseball Productions), the Major League Baseball Clubs, and each of their subsidiaries or affiliated entities, any entity which, now or in the future, controls, is controlled by, or is under common control with the Major League Baseball Clubs or the Office of the Commissioner of Baseball, and the directors, officers and employees of the above entities.

  2. PRIZES/ODDS: One (1) Grand Prize, one (1) First Prize, and five (5) Second Prizes will be awarded.

    The one (1) Grand Prize (the “Grand Prize”) consists of:
    • Two (2) tickets to Game 4 of the 2007 MLB World Series championship game (actual date and location of game are still to be determined by field of play by Major League Baseball; (ARV = $500 USD/ $526 CAD)
    • Coach class airfare for two (2) (cost of airline tickets up to maximum $1,000 USD/ $1,052 CAD per person)
    • Standard accommodations (double occupancy) for two (2) nights (ARV = $450 USD /$473 CAD.
    • Spending cash for winner $1,000 USD/ $1,052 CAD.
    • Nikon D40 6.1 mega pixel digital SLR camera. (ARV= $600USD /$631 CAD)
    • $500 USD MLB.com Gift Card ($526 CAD)
    • Photo journal on MLB.com (the “Photo Journal”), as approved by MLBAM in its sole discretion, and subject to Grand Prize winner’s compliance with these Official Rules including Paragraph 7.
    • Pre-game on-field access for Winner, subject to the rules and regulations of Major League Baseball, to photograph Batting Practice, Warm-Up, Bull Pen, Opening Ceremonies Total ARV of the Grand Prize Package $5,050 USD/$5,312 CAD

    The one (1) First Prize consists of:
    • $500 USD MLB.com Gift Card ($526 CAD)

    The five (5) Second Prizes each consist of:
    • One (1) $100 USD MLB.com Gift Card ($105 CAD)

    TOTAL APPROXIMATE RETAIL VALUE OF ALL PRIZES $6,050 USD/$6.363 CAD

    ALL EXPENSES, TAXES AND COSTS ASSOCIATED WITH ACCEPTANCE AND USE OF THE PRIZES NOT SET FORTH IN THESE RULES ARE THE OBLIGATION OF THE WINNER. Odds of winning depend on the total number of eligible entries received. Grand Prize Winner and travel companion must have appropriate identification to travel within the US and/or Canada, and must travel at the same time and on the same itinerary, as specified by Sponsor in its sole discretion. No assignment, transfer or substitution of prize is permitted. If the winner chooses not to accept the Grand Prize or is unable to travel on the dates required, an alternate winner will be chosen. Actual value of Grand Prize will vary depending on the winner's location. In the event that the winner lives in or within a close proximity to the host city of Game 4 of the 2007 MLB World Series championship game stadium location, Sponsor reserves the right to substitute an alternate method of transportation without awarding balance of costs. The balance of any amount short of the maximum to be spent on airline travel or hotel noted in these rules will not be awarded to winner. Travel must be on dates specified by Sponsor. Major League Baseball game, exhibition and event dates and times are determined in the sole discretion of the Office of the Commissioner of Baseball and may be subject to change. The terms and conditions of the tickets awarded as prizes will govern in the event a legal game, exhibition or event, as defined by Major League Baseball, is not played due to weather, an act of God, an act of terrorism, civil disturbances or any other reason. The MLB Entities will not be responsible for Acts of God, acts of terrorism, civil disturbances, work stoppage or any other natural disaster outside their control that may cause the cancellation of MLB games, exhibitions or events. If any game, exhibition or event is cancelled or postponed for any reason, or any portion of a prize becomes unavailable, Sponsor reserves the right to provide the balance of trip in full satisfaction of prize award, provide a substitute prize of equal value, or provide a different form of compensation of equal value, if any, in its sole discretion. No cash alternative prize is offered. The applicable MLB Entities reserve the right to remove or to deny entry to winner and/or guest who engages in a non-sportsmanlike or disruptive manner, or with intent to annoy, abuse, threaten or harass any other person at the game, exhibition or event. Notwithstanding the foregoing, in the event a trip winner or their guest engages during the trip in behavior that (as determined by Sponsor in Sponsor's sole discretion) is obnoxious, threatening, illegal or that is intended to annoy, abuse, threaten or harass any other person, Sponsor reserves the right to terminate the trip early, in whole or in part, and send the winner and/or his or her guest home with no further compensation.   3. ENTRY: Sweepstakes begins on or about 07/24/2007 at 12:00:01 a.m. Eastern Time (“ET”) and ends on 09/12/2007 at 11:59:59 p.m. ET ("Promotion Period "). There are two ways to enter. Create an official My Monster account from a special splash page, including but not limited to: http://promotions.monster.com/2007mlbworldseries, http://ibs.monster.com/2007worldseries (other URLs may be available as well) or create an official MonsterTrak user account from a special splash page : http://www.monstertrak.monster.com/2007mlbws/, as indicated below. You will not receive a sweepstakes entry by posting or editing a resume or opening an account on Monster.com or MonsterTrak.com in the ordinary manner (i.e., without creating or logging into an account via such splash page). At these special splash pages, available through banner advertisements and other links, submit a complete entry. A complete entry consists of opening a free My Monster account or free MonsterTRAK user account or existing users can gain a sweepstakes entry by logging into their existing My Monster or MonsterTRAK user account during the Promotion Period. One entry per person, regardless of entry method. Sponsor may reject any entry it believes is the result of fraud or were submitted in violation of these Official Rules.

  4. DRAWING: : The random drawing will take place on or about 09/19/2007 from all eligible entries received during the Promotion Period and will be under the control of COHEN-FRIEDBERG ASSOCIATES, LLC (the "Judges") an independent judging agency, contracted by the Sponsor, whose decisions are final and legally binding, as they pertain to the Sweepstakes. The potential winner will be notified by email, telephone, overnight carrier, or regular mail within approximately three (3) days of the drawing. If Sponsor is unable to contact the potential winner after reasonable effort, or if potential winner fails to respond within two (2) days of first attempted notification, prize will be forfeited and awarded to an alternate winner from among all remaining eligible entries.

  5. GENERAL: The potential winners will be required to sign and return an Affidavit of Eligibility, a Liability Release, and, where legal, a Publicity Release, within three (3) days of first attempted notification. In the event of noncompliance with these requirements, the potential winner may be disqualified and an alternate winner selected, at Sponsor’s discretion. Acceptance of prize constitutes permission for Sponsor, the MLB Entities and each of their respective affiliates and related companies to use winner’s name and likeness in any and all media, now known or hereafter devised, without notice, review or approval, in perpetuity and throughout the universe for advertising and promotional purposes without additional compensation or consideration, unless prohibited by law. By entering, you release and hold harmless Sponsor, the MLB Entities and each of their respective parents, subsidiaries, affiliates, directors, officers and employees and agents from all liability or any injuries of any kind arising from or in connection with participation in this sweepstakes or acceptance, travel or use of any prize. By entering, you agree to abide by these Official Rules and the decisions of the Judges regarding this Sweepstakes, which are final and binding in all respects. Sponsor awards the prize WITHOUT WARRANTY OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED. If potential winner is a Canadian resident, he/she must correctly answer a mathematical skill testing question as a condition of being awarded the prize. All disputes will be resolved under applicable U.S. and Canadian laws.

  6. INTERNET: If, for any reason, the Internet portion of this promotion is not capable of running as planned, whether due to infection by computer virus, bugs, tampering, unauthorized intervention, fraud, technical failures, or any other causes beyond the control of Sponsor which corrupts or affects the administration, security, fairness, integrity, or proper conduct of this Sweepstakes, Sponsor reserves the right at its sole discretion, to disqualify any individual who tampers with the entry process, and to cancel, terminate, modify or suspend the Sweepstakes. In the event of termination, a random drawing to award the Grand Prize will be conducted from all valid entries received up until the time of termination. Sponsor and the MLB Entities assume no responsibility for any error, omission, interruption, deletion, defect, delay in operation or transmission, communications line failure, theft or destruction or unauthorized access to, or alteration of, or incomplete entries. Sponsor and the MLB Entities are not responsible for any problems or technical malfunction of any telephone network or lines, computer on-line systems, servers, or providers, computer equipment, software, failure of any e-mail or entry to be received by Sponsor on account of technical problems, human error or traffic congestion on the Internet or at any web site, or any combination thereof, including any injury or damage to entrant’s or any other person’s computer related to or resulting from participation or downloading any materials in this Sweepstakes. CAUTION: ANY ATTEMPT BY A PERSON TO DELIBERATELY DAMAGE ANY WEB SITE OR UNDERMINE THE LEGITIMATE OPERATION OF THIS SWEEPSTAKES IS A VIOLATION OF CRIMINAL AND CIVIL LAWS AND SHOULD SUCH AN ATTEMPT BE MADE, SPONSOR AND MLBAM RESERVE THE RIGHT TO SEEK DAMAGES FROM ANY SUCH PERSON TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW. In the event of a dispute as to the identity or eligibility of a winner based on an e-mail address, entries will be declared made by the authorized account holder of the e-mail address submitted at time of entry provided he/she is eligible according to these Official Rules. “Authorized account holder” is defined as the natural person who is assigned to an e-mail address by an Internet access provider, on-line service provider or other organization (e.g., business, educational, institution, etc.) that is responsible for assigning e-mail addresses for the domain associated with the submitted e-mail address.

  7. COPYRIGHT OWNERSHIP OF PHOTO JOURNAL FOR PRIZE WINNER: MLBAM will have the right to post the Grand Prize winner’s Photo Journal submission(s) (collectively, the “Submission(s)”) on MLB.com in its sole discretion. All photos must be appropriate for posting as determined by MLBAM in its sole and absolute discretion. All photos must be original works. By acceptance of the Grand Prize, the Grand Prize winner acknowledges and agrees (i) that his or her Submission(s) are original work(s) of authorship and he or she owns all right, title and interest in the Submission(s) as of the date of submission; (ii) to irrevocably assign to Sponsor all right, title, and interest, including copyright rights, in the Submission(s) (including any photograph) in any and all media whether now known or hereafter devised, in perpetuity, anywhere in the world, including the right for Sponsor, MLBAM and each of their respective designees to make any and all uses thereof, including, without limitation, for advertising, promotional and/or trade purposes in conjunction with this and similar promotions; and (iii) grant permission for Sponsor, MLBAM and each of their respective designees to publish or publicize all or part of their Submission(s), including but not limited to Grand Prize winner’s name, likeness, picture, address (city and state), e-mail address, voice, biographical information and/or written or oral statements, for advertising, promotional and/or trade purposes, in any and all media now known or hereafter developed, in perpetuity, worldwide, without notice and without further compensation, except where prohibited by law, for promoting and/or publicizing MLBAM, Sponsor or their respective products or services, without notice and without further compensation except where required by law. For the avoidance of doubt, the rights granted under this paragraph shall extend to all photos and all other submitted materials (e.g., comments, statements, descriptions, etc.) related to the promotion and the Photo Journal. Grand Prize winner shall have no right of approval, no claim to compensation, and no claim (including, without limitation, claims based on invasion of privacy, defamation, or right of publicity) arising out of any use, blurring, alteration, or use in composite form of the Submission(s) including Grand Prize winner’s name, picture, likeness, address (city and state), e-mail address, voice, biographical information, written or oral statements or entry.
